Capturing Vertical Data
AUV Flight Services provided flight support with the Manta UAS in support of atmospheric research with Scripps and UCSD in the Maldives Islands. The purpose of this scientific endeavor, led by Dr. V. Ramanathan, was to determine atmospheric aerosol fluxes in relation to albedo.
AUV personnel flew 3 Manta UAS simultaneously in stacked formation to obtain the vertical profile atmospheric data.
